Our journey to excellence began about 80 years ago, when our great grandmother, Mrs Chellammal, sold ‘Kacha Rice’ while carrying baskets on her head. Sri A. Duraisamy, the doyen of the rice industry in Salem, began processing paddy in a hired Rice Mill in 1969, where all processes were carried out manually in accordance with the local processing standards of the time.

Rettaikili Rice believes that the best way to progress is by “developing together as a nation.” As a result, we go above and beyond to incorporate environmentally friendly measures into our business operations. We value our farmers’ efforts and make certain that they are paid on time and fairly. Our state-of-the-art rice milling facility in Salem, which includes boiling, drying, and milling facilities, as well as advanced color sorting equipment and comprehensive rice and paddy storage capabilities, enable us to meet the needs of the entire state’s population.

We believe that having access to excellent rice should not be a year-round luxury. We implement strict quality production standards in order to supply rice of consistent quality across all of our brands all year. We are pleased to raise the market’s “success bar” because this consistency is uncommon and difficult to achieve in agricultural products such as rice.
