  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: Hibachi Fried Rice

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups cooked Rettai Kili Sona Masoori rice
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • ¾ cup chopped onion
  • ½ cup diced carrot finely chopped
  • 34 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • ½ cup peas

Instructions

STEP 1: Beat the eggs well and heat a tava, pour the beaten egg and cook for 2 minutes, cut into pieces and set aside.

STEP 2: In a bowl pour in the soy sauce, rice wine, and sesame oil. Stir well to create a stir-fry sauce.

STEP 3: In a Cooking pan, add butter then add the onions, diced carrots, garlic, and ginger to the pan. Stir-fry the vegetables for 3 to 5 minutes to soften.

STEP 4: Add the stir-fry sauce to the pan and stir to coat the vegetables.

STEP 5: Now add the rice, toss and stir the rice to make sure it is well coated in sauce, and all the clumps of rice are broken apart. Continue to stir and fry for several minutes to make sure all of the rice gets a little “sizzle time” at the bottom of the pan.

STEP 6: Once the rice is well mixed and warmed through, stir in the chopped egg and turn off the heat then serve warm.
