Ingredients

  • Rice Flour – 1 cup
  •  Jaggery – 1/2 cup
  •  Coconut Powder – 2 tablespoons
  •  Cardamom powder – 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  • Mix 1 cup rice flour with 1/2 cup jaggery in a pan.
  • Heat and melt the jaggery with 1/2 cup water.
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder and 1 teaspoon clarified butter (ghee).
  • Mix in 2 tablespoons of dried coconut powder and put the stove on low flame.
  • Add rice flour, mix, close the lid, and turn off the stove.
  • Let it cool, then knead the dough with water if needed.
  • Make small balls, press into pooris, and fry in hot oil until light brown.
  • Press the pooris with a spoon to make them puffy.
  • Fry on a medium flame for a crispy texture.
  • Rice flour sweet puris are ready to be served hot!
